Report: Argentina to submit data on Sputnik V’s performance to WHO

BUENOS AIRES, Jan 25 (PRIME) -- Argentina’s Ministry of Health will submit data on the effectiveness of Russia’s COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V to the World Health Organization (WHO) to promote its global use, Minister Carla Vizzotti said in an interview with the La Red radio station on Tuesday.

“The WHO and Russia want to move forward with approval … of Sputnik V and Cansino. … The WHO technical panel needs real-life information on effectiveness, which will be important for decision making (on vaccines). … We will send this information as soon as possible so that it becomes part of the (WHO vaccine) decision,” Vizzotti said.
